Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Shadow Bridge app for iPhone and iPad (the "app") and the website at shadowbridge.app (the "site"). Both are made by Shadow Agent LLC ("we", "us"). The short version: we do not collect your data. The app talks only to the Hermes servers you add, and we run no server that receives anything from it.

No analytics, telemetry, ads, or tracking

The app contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. It has no third-party SDKs that collect data. We do not build profiles, sell data, or share data with anyone, because we do not have it.

Who the app talks to

The app connects only to the Hermes Agent servers that you add yourself (for example a machine running hermes serve on your network or your Tailscale tailnet). Your messages, sessions, approvals, and any other content travel directly between your device and your server. Those servers are run by you, not by us, and what happens on them is governed by your own setup.

Shadow Agent LLC operates no server that receives app data. There is no Shadow Bridge account, sign-in, or cloud backend.

Server list and iCloud sync

• Your list of servers (names, addresses, and similar settings) syncs between your devices through your own private iCloud, using the CloudKit private database operated by Apple. We cannot read it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
• Server passwords are stored in this device's Keychain and do not sync through iCloud. Each device keeps its own.
• If iCloud sync is turned off, or you are not signed in to iCloud, your server list stays on this device only.

Face ID

If you turn on Face ID for approvals, the check is performed by iOS. The app only receives a yes or no result from the system. It never sees, stores, or transmits your biometric data.

Microphone and speech recognition

The app uses the microphone and speech recognition only when you start dictation or voice input. Recognition runs on device. Audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to us. The resulting text goes where you send it: into your message to your own Hermes server.

This website

shadowbridge.app is a static site. It uses no analytics, no cookies, and no tracking scripts. Like any website, it is delivered through a hosting provider (Cloudflare), which may process standard request data such as IP addresses in server logs for security and delivery. We do not use that data to identify or track visitors.

Children

The app and site are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since we collect no data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
